Background

Carnosine, and the question of delivery.

Carnosine is a naturally occurring dipeptide concentrated in muscle, brain and heart tissue, studied for its role in buffering acidity during effort and in cellular protection.

Swallowed carnosine is broken down rapidly by enzymes in the gut and bloodstream. LactiGo products are applied to the skin instead. Most published research concerns carnosine as an ingredient, not these specific topical products, and they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
